Online entry is now open for the National Science + Engineering Competition [1] and you have up until 31st October 2012 to get your entries in.
If you didn't manage to attend the Regional Heats in June and July 2012, then self nomination is a great opportunity to see if you project will qualify for the National finals that take place at the Big Bang Fair which will be at the London Excel Centre in March 2013.
The National Science + Engineering Competition aims to recognise and reward young people’s achievements in all areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). It is open to 11-18 year olds in the UK and provides young people with the opportunity to build their skills and confidence in project based work. Entries are open to any young people that have carried out project work (see the website for further details regarding eligibility).
CREST projects have a good track record in the National Science + Engineering Competition and in 2012 all main prize winners and runners-up had also achieved a CREST Award. The three days in London will be an amazing experience for any of the finalists so we would strongly encourage CREST students to have a closer look at entering.
Further details are on the National Science + Engineering Competition [2] webpages on this website.
