A lecture by Dr. Gayle Davis.

Against a background of potent fears surrounding the moral and physical ‘degeneration’ of nineteenth and early-twentieth-century society, and significant change within the discipline of psychiatry, this lecture will explore a critical period in the developing relationship between syphilis and insanity. 

Admission to lectures is free for members.  A donation of £3 is invited from non-members.  Following evening lectures members and guests are invited to visit The Lodge to meet the speaker and enjoy a glass of wine.  Further details of forthcoming lectures and reports on past lectures may be found on the YPS website [2].
