Insurance

Working with young people

In running any activities for young people, it is important to involve parents and/or teachers and to bear in mind the needs of the Child Protection legislation.

The British Science Association is committed to a safe-guarding culture, and expects volunteers to maintain high standards and to report any concerns over inappropriate behaviour. Branch volunteers should ensure that they have read the relevant section of the staff handbook and have signed to confirm that they agree with the British Science Association’s volunteer policy. Both of these documents are available in the forms and toolkits [4] section of this website.
