The cancer revolution: from stem cells to personalized medicine
The West Midlands Branch is holding its followed by the annual prestige lecture at 7.00pm. This year’s speaker is Professor Lawrence Young, Pro-vice Chancellor and Head of Medical Sciences at the University of Birmingham. Professor Young's talk will focus on how our understanding of cancer has developed over the last decade and in particular how the latest technologies and therapies are being applied to this family of diverse diseases, as well as a glimpse of what the future may hold.
Branch AGM, 6:30pm Find out how you could get involved with this passionate group of volunteers, running science events in the West Midlands. The AGM is also a chance for the branch to consider how it can best meet the requirements of members in the region. The Branch is currently seeking a new Chairman and Secretary and whilst nominations have been received for these roles, the Committee is always looking for new members to drive the Branch forward.
