24. Do you have any other comments you would like to make or information you would like to include?:
While the two structures are the outcome of an architectural design completion, the two winning entries will now be developed at a greater level of details for construction. Application will be made to Newcastle Council for the temporary structure in Heaton Park. Students are expected to build the structure in the summer time. They will also ‘man’ the space during the time of the Science Festival. This competition is the result of a fruitful collaboration between lecturers in architecture, engagement team at Newcastle University, the TRADA, the UK Timber Association, and last but not least three organisations who have supported this design competition and who will support the activities during the British Science Festival: MORE INFORMATION AVAILABLE - Environmental Records Information Centre (ERIC) North East based in the Great North Museum: Hancock - Natural History Society of Northumbria - Newcastle City Council: Education officer and Park Ranger Service at Jesmond Dene
