Spaceflight UK presents 2 days of exciting and inspiring space activities for Shenley Primary School. Space Is Big! - This workshop changes scales to moves outward from the school, exploring the Earth and Moon, the Solar System, our galaxy and beyond. How far away is the Moon? How many planets do we really have? How big are the planets and stars? Demonstrations and activities will give everyone a new view of space. Mission To Mars - This workshop covers an introduction to rocketry and looks at exploring the red planet. This workshop is a multiple-activity session. The pupils make and launch their own rockets, work in teams to construct a lander to bring a payload safely down onto a planetary surface, and then see if they can survive on Mars!
