We aim to unveil the every day science that exists within our community in a way that is fun and accessible to people of all ages. The main event will be held within the community centre. We have invited science departments of local schools/higher education facilities to design experiments to demonstrate to the public. There will also be businesses showcasing how engineering and scientific developments have shaped the world around us in many areas: medicine, archaelogy, renewable energy, engineering, environmental issues etc. Each will be able to discuss and demonstrate in the field relevant to them. There will also be an out reach element to our event with visits to two other sites within the village. Each will be involved in demonstrating connected experiments. During this event there will be an opportunity to fill in a fact sheet and enter into a prize draw for the coveted golden safety glasses.
