We'll be learning how rocket propulsion works to send people into space. We'll start by making balloon powered hovercraft, then the main activity will be to design and build air powered cars; we'll have a competition to see who comes up with the fastest and furthest travelled To finished we'll be launching air powered rockets and seeing how high we can make them go. Participants will learn about Newton's third law of motion and how it applies to rocket motors. They will also be challenged to make and improve their own designs. The workshop is a special event in ACE Cardiff's series of after school homework clubs.
