Pupils will have the chance to tour the mill, see the science involved in the production of bakery ingredients, think about the problems encountered as part of the sorting and milling process and discover the solutions that science and engineering have provided to those problems. The session will end with a look at the role of enzymes in baking and malt production accompanied by some kneading and proving in the technical bakery. The session will be led by Edme's technical director and technical baker and will be a reall hands on fun learning experience.
