What a waste is a simple and exciting way to get involved in National Science & Engineering Week [1]and we have lots of extension ideas for running waste-themed activities. While the competition has closed you can still use the resources to run a fun and easy activity to engage pupils with the science and engineering of waste.
We have teamed up with EDF Energy’s the Pod [2] [2]to challenge 5–14 year olds to design a product that is made partly, or entirely, of waste materials.
The competition is now closed but you can still use the free downloadable resources below.
Over 20,000 pupils took part and over 5,000 posters were entered into the competition- thank you to all that took part.
The winners will be announced here soon!
Missed out? Why not check out the resources below? Great for home or school.
