The Science in Society projects
We work with three main audiences:
Researchers, engineers, clinicians etc.
Our current programme for researchers and engineers includes:
Media Fellowships - placing researchers and engineers into the heart of the media.
Engineers: engage! - challenging industry engineers to create engaging events about their work.
Public engagement training - helping researchers to better engage with the public and appreciate the social impact of research. There are currently places available for the Communicating your Science workshop (3rd March, London).
Our programmes to support the growing science communication community:
The Science Communication Conference - the annual event for discussion and sharing best practice
Science for All - the pan-organisational strategy group supporting the work of science communicators
Collective Memory - the online resource of what works in public engagement
CPD for science communicators - coming soon!
Our main project for the public is the x-change at the British Science Festival.
We have extensive experience in running events for the public - if you'd like us to consult on your public engagement project, see work with us.
We also work with policy makers through our involvement with Sciencewise.
