About Birmingham
From 14-19 September, the British Science Festival will visit the West Midland.
Birmingham is rich in history and culture and offers a range of attractions, art galleries, theatres, excellent shopping facilities and restaurants to tempt you with food from all over the world.
Birmingham is one of six Science Cities in the UK and is located in the heart of England. The ground-breaking research and development that takes place today is built on a strong scientific heritage.
This is demonstrated through the many academic and professional organisations in the region, including Aston and Birmingham Universities, their associated science parks, and other notable regional facilities such as QinetiQ and Warwick University and Science Park.
