Get involved
As one of the UK's biggest science festivals, attracting an average audience of 80,000 in each year, the British Science Fesitval is an extremely rewarding event to be involved in.
There are debates, talks, workshops, exhibitions and fieldtrips, with events attracting academics, general public, school groups and families. Nowhere do you get such an eclectic mix of people engaging with science than at the British Science Festival and no other UK event rivals the press coverage generated for science and reaches so many.
The British Science Association imposes no restrictions on who may propose an event at the Festival - staff at the host University, organisations from the host city and people from all over the UK come to the Festival to host events.
Although anyone can propose an event, we do follow a strict proposal process to ensure a varied programme is produced and all events are of scientific integrity.
