Each year the British Science Association presents Europe’s largest public science event – the British Science Festival. 

This year's Fesival will take place in Birmingham, in 2011 the Festival travels to Bradford and in 2012 to Aberdeen.

Through the Festival we connect a huge range of people with scientists, engineers, technologists and social scientists. Both to celebrate the sheer excitement of the latest developments but also to engage in open discussion about issues that interest and concern large numbers of people about scientific advancement.

Typically the Festival hosts over 250 events, with over 350 of the world’s leading scientists, social scientists, technologists, engineers and science communicators.

Thousands of visitors attend Festival events and exhibitions but millions more people hear highlights from the Festival through the extensive media operation and resulting press coverage. As the British Science Festival has the highest rates of press coverage of any annual UK science event.

The Festival will make a big ‘noise’ for science, technology and engineering nationally, regionally and beyond, though the extensive media coverage.
