The National Science & Engineering Competition seeks the best of the best from every area of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM). Entry for the 2011-12 round of the Competition has now closed, but you can register to attend one of the Big Bang regional fairs for entry to the 2012-13 round of the Competition.
The Competition is open to 11-18 year olds in the UK and the best entries will be invited to showcase their project at The Big Bang: UK Young Scientists and Engineers Fair in March. Finalists have their own stands to show off all their hard work to scientists, engineers, students, parents, employers, teachers and celebrities. Plus a select few may even be chosen to present to a VIP panel in the competition finals!
There is over £50,000 of prizes up for grabs including cash awards and trips abroad! As well as lots of team and individual prizes, entrants in the senior category could be crowned the UK Young Scientist of the Year or the UK Young Engineer of the Year.
