NSEW Event Awards
We know that lots of brilliant events are organised every year for NSEW, so in 2009 we launched the National Science and Engineering Week Event Awards! Sponsored by the Engineering and Technology Board (ETB), we awarded a £1,000 cash prize to the winner in each of four categories.
A big congratulations and thank you go to the following winners in each of the four categories:
• Best engineering event – Southampton University (Science and Engineering Day 2009)
• Best science event – University of Bath (Bath Taps)
• Best schools event – St Andrew’s Primary School (L.O.S.T.)
• Outstanding Contribution to NSEW – Judith Wardlaw (Thomas Hardye School)
Events taken into consideration were those who self-nominated their event or themselves (for the Outstanding Contribution) and registered their events on our online programme.
Event Awards will run for events in NSEW 2010. You will be able to self nominate your event for consideration later in the year.
