New President-elect announced for the British Science Association

Lord May of Oxford is to be our incoming President in 2009. He will succeed the current President, Sir David King, and assume the Presidency on the first day of the British Science Festival which will take place at the University of Surrey in September 2009.
Lord May will deliver his Presidential address at the Festival and has chosen ‘Darwin’s unsolved problem and its relevance to environmental concerns’ as his theme.
Also announced is the appointment of Professor Lord Winston to the Council.
Lord Winston is a past president of the British Science Association and plays an active part in our programmes.
