East Midlands Science and Technology Communication (EMSET)

A major new activity within the East Midlands Science Communication community is the STEM Partnership, which aims to bring science, technology, engineering and mathematics communicators together to share good practice and facilitate their communication with teachers and school pupils. For their web site click here.

This page contains contact details for individuals and organisations involved in the communication of maths, science, engineering and technology to adults and children in the East Midlands.

The British Science Association is working to help create a positive social climate where problems such as public concern and mistrust of science, under representation of minority groups, and an inadequate throughput of well-qualified scientists and engineers are effectively addressed.

So this web page also includes contact information that might be useful when organising, funding or publicising such events, such as government offices, libraries and the media.

We hope this page will be useful for schools, event organisers and others trying to facilitate the teaching or communication of these subjects in this region.

To add, edit or delete your information please send your details to Tom Horner.

EMSET covers the whole of the East Midlands. Click the links on the left for the appropriate area.
