George Green Memorial Fund
The George Green Memorial Fund was set up in 1976 by Professor Lawrie Challis and colleagues from the Physics and Mathematics Departments, University of Nottingham, together with representatives from other organisations and professions in Nottingham. It was handed over to the BA in 2005, and is now administered by the BA Nottinghamshire Branch.
To achieve wider recognition of Green and publicise his achievements and his contributions to modern science and technology via this web site. To contribute to the public interest and understanding of science and mathematics.
The Fund depends upon sales of George Green's essays for its income.
