Last year, the branch's first event, based on 'How Clean is your House' as part of national science week, was a great success. This success continued with the branch's second event, an evening of talks, with wine and cheese, paying homage to one of the University of Leeds most prestigious researchers: William Astbury. We were privileged to have descendants of Astbury present at the event, which was received positively by all.
Due to some personnel rearrangements, the branch has had a short hiatus, but we are hoping to kick start a new phase with a second running of the 'How Clean is your House' event this year, and have some new enthusiastic volunteers to help. We are always keen for volunteers from any background, so if you're interested, please get in touch!!
