Public Engagement Award Workshops

Are you worried that the public ignore research?  Or concerned that not enough young people pursue research careers?  The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) has a range of funding available to help you make a difference.

The British Science Association is running a series of workshops for scientists who currently hold, or plan to apply for, one of the public engagement awards available to EPSRC-funded scientists.  These include the Partnerships for Public Engagement (PPE) awards, Senior Media Fellowships and the Public Communications Training fund.

At these workshops you will:

  • Find out more about the grants available
  • Get tips on making your application
  • Meet other grant holders and be inspired by what they do
  • Network with other scientists in your subject area
  • Find out about other public engagement opportunities in your area

NEWS: Statement from EPSRC:

"As part of an ongoing review of how we allocate our resources, EPSRC will no longer be funding public engagement activities via the Partnerships for Public Engagement (PPE) Scheme. As a consequence, the PPE call planned for this autumn will not go ahead."
