During year two of the DISC project (April 2005 - March 2006) the British Science Association and the ACNST ran three 2-day residential training courses, jointly for science communication and BME groups in the Northwest, Midlands and London regions. The training courses addressed the priorities requested by both groups during the DISC year one workshops.
Courses took place in September 2005 in Cheshire, Stratford-upon-Avon and Dorking. Each one followed a similar programme:
Web resources are now available that report on the representations of BME groups in science, as well as a guide to working with BME communities on science communication activities.
