The community x-change - Liverpool
A series of community x-changes took place in June & July 2008 in Toxteth, Liverpool. A group of local residents met to talk about health and related science issues, sharing their thoughts and views on possible action.

Three Toxteth community groups came together to share experiences
Presentations, reports and video footage of the project
Meetings took place over three days in June & July 2008
Six scientists joined the community group as non-specialists
Two specially commissioned plays were used to introduce the two science topics to the group
A film of the workshops was shown at the 2008 British Science Festival in Liverpool
Four people attended the last workshop to share their experience and knowledge
