Addressing point 1.4.1 from the Science for All Action Plan: "explore and promote the role of social media as a mechanism for engagement with the sciences"
Read the Social Media Dossier - a short document which provides an overview of the types of social media currently in use, their application to public engagement issues and some predictions for the future.
As a pilot project, the dossier has been expanded into a wiki for the entire science communication community - it will contain notable case studies, developments in social media and best practice for science communicators.
