ESOF 2006
In 2006, the x-change at ESOF took place in the science biergarten of the Forum am Deutschen Museum from 16-18 July.  There was the usual blend of the sublime and the ridiculous, including the top 10 freebies available in the exhibition hall as well a demonstration of a spoon that honey won't stick to, an eco-car and an unusual way to peel a banana!  Panellists over the three evenings included Jean-Patrick Connerade (France), the president of Euroscience, Stephen Minger (UK), a stem cell researcher, Yael Shahar (Israel) from the International Policy Institute for Counter-Terrorism, Seema Kumar (USA), Vice President of Global Pharmaceutical R&D Communications at Johnson & Johnson, Ioannis Tarnanas (Greece), a developer of Virtual Reality systems and Frank Burnet (UK), a science communicator.
