Membership of the British Science Association is free and open to all.
Individuals can choose the level of involvement they have with us by choosing if they want to become a supporter or a member.
Supporters – As a supporter you will receive free communications from us. These include regular updates on what is happening at the Association, event news in your area and the latest science news.
Members – As a member you will receive the same communications as a supporter but in addition you will agree that you share the objectives of the Association and agree to abide by our statutes. Members also vote for General Committee and can nominate individuals for the prestigious Honorary Fellowship award.
Supporters and members can choose from the following range of free communications:
• Science News Digest - weekly update of major science stories • Science e-lert - monthly newsletter features our wide ranging and diverse activities. • What's on e-lert - regular update on events and activities from your region and local Branch. • CREST Update - information about the Young People's Programme, and activities for schools and parents. • Scientists in Society e-lert - newsletter for researchers, with news on public engagement opportunities. • People and Science – Available in hard copy or electronic mailings, the Association's quarterly magazine. • National Science & Engineering Week e-news - Monthly newsletter for NSEW organisers. • British Science Festival News - Monthly updates (March to September) on all the news from the Festival.
