The British Science Festival is hosted by a different university city every year in September. From science fiction cinema screenings to debating the latest scientific advances with famous faces in science there is something for everyone. Hands-on events for all the family take place free of charge and you can join us at the university itself to explore and be entertained by events, debates and exhibitions across all manner of science-related topics.

National Science and Engineering Week is the UK’s celebration of science and engineering that takes place in March every year.  Over a million people take part in some 4000 science and engineering related events and activities across the UK. Museums, schools, and science centres lead the way and up to 40,000 people take part online. Find out what's on and how to get involved.

The British Science Association is a nationwide organisation supported by 27 volunteer branches across the UK. Our branches organise events and bring science into the heart of local communities. Find out about your local branch and how you can become involved, and what’s on in your area.

As a charity registered in England, Wales and Scotland, our supporters are very important to us. Charitable donations help us to reach as many people as possible with our projects. We provide a variety of free communications to keep you up to date with the latest science news and developments at the British Science Association.
