There are lots of places to go on a science visit, and you're bound to have somewhere exciting nearby. Here are some ideas, but don't forget to contact us and tell us where you've been
We'd love to hear about what you did, and even see some photos!
Museums and science centres (see the links on the left for lists of lots of museums and science centres)
Dentists, doctors surgeries and hospitals
Zoos, safari parks, aquaria, and botanical gardens
Farms
Woods, forests, the seaside and the countryside
Railway stations, factories or even a quarry
A university
An air pollution monitoring site, or a weather station
Many museums and science centres produce leaflets or trails for visitors. Here are some we found, but we think you'll be able to create some that are just as good! Send them to us and we'll share them with other Young Science Ambassadors ysa@the-ba.net
Put little activities in a rucksack, this is a bit like creating a leaflet, but you get to include objects as well (e.g. a magnifying glass and pen and paper, for people to draw three shells they see on a beach)
Think up a game (e.g. collect 10 different leaves in 5 minutes)
