STEM clubs and competitions
Getting your STEM club involved in a competition can really help to focus and motivate STEM club members. Competitions also provide a way to recognise outstanding achievement by teams and individuals.
The National Science and Engineering Competition
The National Science & Engineering Competition is an over-arching and inclusive competition that covers all areas of STEM. It is deliberately broad in the subjects it covers and in its entry criteria to ensure that as many young people as possible can participate. The finals of the competition are held at the The Big Bang: UK Young Scientists' and Engineers' Fair. Endless opportunities
Many other competitions and awards exist to provide opportunities for young people to excel in one or more areas of STEM. Some are run at a regional level, some national and there are even some prestigious international prizes available.
