The STEM Clubs Network
CREST Awards scheme and the STEM Clubs Network are pleased to work in partnership to encourage participating CREST schools to affiliate to the Network, free of charge. The benefits include:
• Free frameworks and guides to starting, running, and developing a STEM club
• Access to free local CPD for club leaders*
• Introduction to local contact point for STEM Ambassadors, who can help support students in doing CREST Awards
• Invitations to engage in specific challenges and events, e.g. STEM Challenges, inspired by London 2012 and supported by CREST
• Being part of a community of STEM Clubs
• Networking and best practice events at local, regional and national levels e.g. Regional Big Bang Fairs and The Big Bang
• Access to the STEM Clubs website and professional support from dedicated STEM Clubs Advisors*
*The CPD and STEM Clubs Advisors are currently available in England only.
Many schools are completing the CREST Awards in after-school clubs, so it makes perfect sense to be affiliated.
As an affiliated school, you will have a public profile page that you and your pupils can manage. This is a great PR opportunity for your club and school.
All affiliated club leaders will be able to access the contact details of other club leaders. Other club leaders will be able to contact you. This facilitates the sharing of good practice and ideas between clubs. Club leader names and contact details are only available to registered site users and are never passed on to third party organisations.
