A major scientific investigation for schools was conducted for National Science and Engineering Week 2008, with over 78,000 pupils taking part!
Teachers TV teamed up with the British Science Association to bring schools the opportunity to take part in a significant nationwide experiment. Called 'Ready to Learn? The Experiment' it was designed to find out how ready to learn schoolchildren are and what can be done to improve this.
It investigated, via an on-line test and survey, how diet and exercise can influence memory and concentration.
Pupils got their test scores, as well as tips on how to increase their readiness to learn and the national results of the study are now published. Go to www.teachers.tv/experiment to see the results!
This was a great opportunity to get the whole class involved in a fascinating and important piece of educational research and over 600 schools and over 78,000 pupils took part!
