The Bristol and Bath Branch are looking for members of the public to contribute short films of up to 10 minutes, on a science theme that interests them, for their science film festival. Your film could be educational, an interview, a documentary or a piece about a topical issue that your feel is important. Selected films will be shown at the Cube Cinema at the end of British Science Week, and there are also a number talks, workshops and other events planned to take place throughout the week. Science in the Park Science in the Park is the Nottinghamshire Branch’s largest annual event. Exhibitors, presentations and demonstrations make this an exciting and interesting day out for anyone interested in science. The event plays host to a wide range of scientists – from universities and schools, industry and business, and hobbyists who all play a huge role in making the day a success year after year. Some of the highlights from previous years include snail racing, dancing robots, colour-changing chemistry and “Physics Live!” creating a life-sized cloud in the courtyard! There are many more fantastic events being organised for British Science Week, which takes place from 11 to 20 March.
