Europe’s longest standing science Festival, the British Science Festival makes its way to Brighton between the 5-9 September, promising to connect people with scientists, engineers, technologists and social scientists.

With over 150 FREE events for the public to get involved in, the Festival has something for everyone, with events spanning numerous subjects including: health, the arts, space, the environment and more!

Why not come along and try our Festival beer that we’re brewing exclusively for the British Science Festival 2017 at our event, ‘North Laine Brewhouse: getting buzzed’, where, as well as enjoying a tipple, you can discover what it’s like to be a bee tracking your way back to its hive in a unique gaming experience.

Hear from scientists at ‘Treating leukaemia: the cell therapy revolution’ as they explain the therapies revolutionising the treatment of Leukaemia and how actually, we might hold the key to our own cure.

Alongside our amazing events, we have lots of famous faces heading down to the Festival. Join presenter Dr Giles Yeo and Steve Crabtree, the editor of BBC’s ‘Horizon’ as they open a discussion about the concept of clean eating. Or, join award-winning choreographer Wayne McGregor for a film-screening of his unique and tenacious, ‘Atomos’.

This year, the British Science Festival 2017 will be co-hosted by the University of Brighton and the University of Sussex, bringing together a wide array of expertise from across the two universities. Last year, the Festival took place in Swansea. You can watch out highlights reel here, giving you a taste of what’s to come!

Tens of thousands of people will come together to celebrate the latest developments in science and we want you to be part of it.
