Community Engagement Officer JOB TITLE: Community Engagement Officer REPORTING TO: Engagement Manager RESPONSIBLE FOR: No staff BASED: British Science Association, 165 Queen's Gate, London SW7 5HD TERMS: Maternity cover, full-time (35 hours per week), up to March 2018. The British Science Association is looking to recruit a talented Community Engagement Officer to help us implement our new vision and strategy. Details of our vision are on our website: http://www.britishscienceassociation.org/blog/new-vision-science The Community Engagement Officer will be overseen by the Engagement Manager and will specialise in growing, diversifying and supporting our audiences and volunteer pool. This focus will form approximately three-quarters of the role. For the remaining quarter of the time the officer will have the opportunity to work across other programmes on ‘away projects’ and will report to the manager(s) of those projects. This role would suit someone with an interest in public engagement with science and at least six-months’ experience in supporting community engagement, in either a voluntary or paid capacity.
