The British Science Association (BSA) welcomes the news that UK association to the Horizon Europe research programme has been agreed. The association means that scientists and researchers in the UK will have access to research collaborations across the European Union, and with other global partners.

Speaking from the British Science Festival ahead of her inaugural event as President of the BSA, Professor Dame Jane Francis said:

“I am delighted to hear the news that association with Horizon Europe has been agreed. Cutting-edge, collaborative science, like the projects funded by Horizon Europe, improve our world and our lives for the better.

"Collaboration also brings greater diversity of people and ideas to research, enabling science to become more relevant, representative, and connected to society.”
