British Science Week is a celebration of the best of British science, technology, engineering and maths.

It sees thousands of fun, fascinating and engaging events take place across the UK – in schools, in community groups and in cultural institutions. This year’s dates are 13 – 22 March 2015.

To search our online events programme to find events near you, or to register your own event, please visit our British Science Week microsite www.britishscienceweek.org If you register an event before the end of February, we will send you a free marketing pack with posters, postcards, stickers and balloons.

You can also download the materials from the website if you register your event in March.

During British Science Week, the British Science Association (BSA) is keen to showcase the amazing science, technology, engineering and high-tech manufacturing happening every day – in factories, plants, and laboratories across Britain – that the public might take for granted or not even know exists.

In 2015, we are piloting an events and marketing initiative that throws open the doors of Britain’s most fascinating science, technology and engineering locations, operation sites and equipment – an ‘open house’ style opportunity for the public (and/or school groups) to get up close to science and STEM employees in action: Behind the Scenes of British Science.

To celebrate the solar eclipse on Friday 20 March, we have created a new activity sheet showing you how to make edible eclipses

Meanwhile, if - like many of us here in the British Science Association team - you are a tea enthusiast, you could do worse than checking out our #PerfectCuppa social media campaign. We're asking people to tell us their preferred tea-making-method and will be offering prizes and giveaways in the lead up to and during the Week for people who share their #perfectcuppa on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook.
