Science clubs

CREST Star Investigators activities are designed to be run by anyone; they do not need you to have a science or teaching background. Science and Engineering Clubs are fantastic for:

• Exciting young people about science and engineering
• Doing activities that don’t fit into a normal school timetable
• Stretching and challenging club members
• Encouraging the sharing of ideas and knowledge
• Having fun!

We recommend this CPD unit by AstraZeneca Science Teaching Trust as an introduction to setting up and running a science club. It aims to give teachers ideas on how science clubs can be run successfully in a number of different ways and how a typical session can be run.
