London Transport Museum Inspire Engineering

Funded by the Luke Rees-Pulley Charitable Trust, the Inspire Engineering Programme has been designed to increase awareness of careers in Engineering and Transport Planning amongst Key Stage 3 pupils. Delivered by London Transport Museum at the Museum Depot in Acton, the Inspire Engineering Day includes an exciting hands-on session ‘Braking Eggsperiment’, the opportunity to meet practicing ‘Engineering Ambassadors’ – Engineers and Planners from Transport for London and an exclusive look at the engineering wonders in the Museum’s amazing collection. This session is CREST accredited scheme with the British Science Association. At the end of the day all participating students will receive a CREST Discovery Award.

Dates: 11–15 November 2013, 17-21 March 2014, 23-27 June 2014

Session time: 10.30–14.45 (including break for lunch)

Cost: There is a £3 per pupil charge for the CREST Award which will be collected upon booking.

Capacity: Up to 60 pupils
