New community led research grants look to pave the way for local research projects in Reading and Slough

The British Science Association (BSA) has today (6 June 2023) opened grant applications for its latest funding programme – the Community Led Research Pilot – inviting communities in Reading and Slough who are traditionally underrepresented in research to develop and deliver their own research projects.
UK secondary school pupils call for more relevant and rigorous climate change education

A new report revealing the views of 14-to-18-year-olds about their experiences of climate change in education has been published. This Future Forum report was supported by the University of Plymouth.
Award Lectures at British Science Festival 2023

The British Science Association has announced the British Science Festival Award Lecture winners for 2023. Each year, a cohort of early career researchers are recognised as awardees and showcase their work at the British Science Festival. This year, the Festival takes place 7 – 10 September, hosted by the University of Exeter.
Education| STEM resources to help students explore the topic of hunger

As World Hunger Day approaches on 28 May, we discuss two of the main causes of global hunger - the climate crisis and food waste - and share some classroom resources on these topics for children and young people of all ages.
